About Obiora Obosi Festival

The Obiora Obosi Festival, also known as the Iwaji Festival, is an annual cultural celebration in Obosi, Anambra State, that marks the new yam harvest and symbolizes peace, thanksgiving, and unity.

During the festival, the traditional ruler, elders, and indigenes come together to offer prayers of gratitude, share the new yam, and reconcile differences as a sign of communal harmony.
